If this is your source file for Premiere??, the text is really poor. Below is a screen shot of an H264 video at 720×480. It began in Photoshop as a video preset 720×480 and then into a DV NTSC sequence, exported as H624 720×480;

Also what is your sequence resolution? -
Tweaking presets is not a good idea unless you know what you are doing.
Choose the “NTSC Source to download 512 kbps” Preset and run with that. -

KISS; record in DV mode to tape at 29.97 fps for mission critical stuff. Experiment with non critical stuff until you find a recipe that works better.

PCM is the format for DV as well and works fine…what does Premiere’s Audio Meter display when playing your audio?

by Ben Mears on Feb 1, 2010 at 7:10:16 pmOk, I finally got it figured out. The Export Settings window was located off screen (apparently in a kind of no-monitor land).
Here’s how I got it back in view:
-Hit Alt + Space
-Hit the down arrow once (to select “Move”)
-Use the arrow keys to move the window back into view.I’ve never really experienced a window being open but not visible because its hanging out off screen so I think that’s why I got so confused.
Thanks guys and I hope nobody else runs into this and gets as stumped as I did, ha ha.

If you can keep your video data to less than 200mb, upload that to Rapidshare in a zip file and email the link to the newspaper so they can download it…Rapidshare is free.

If your target is only computer playback I would edit in Camtasia and export as a Flash video 1024×768 (less 18 px for controls)…burn that to a DVD (Data DVD) with an autorun.inf file pointing to the .HTML file in the folder.
If you want a Video DVD, edit and export in Camtasia as “DVD Ready” .avi and author that in Encore.
Using Premiere to edit involves a couple of extra transcodings and resulting quality loss. -
Rendering “Preview files” is primarily for your viewing pleasure if your computer is not fast enough to give you a smooth preview, making editing difficult.
Most computers today are fast enough to give a “real” preview without rendering especially for SD projects. Editing AVCHD with effects applied may only give a preview of a few frames per second and require rendering preview files in many cases. -
H264 is the latest and greatest codec for most applications. It takes about half the bitrate of Mpeg 2 to achieve similar results.
