Better work flow might be to use a separate sequence for each part, then nest each sequence in a master sequence and then export that. This will save time, disc space and a generational loss.

Encore has issue with Program stream Mpeg 2…it wants to transcode the video again. I am using CS3.
I cant hear audio when my Elementary clips are played in Media Player. I wonder if Cinema Craft has screwed with something or is not fully compatible with CS3.
Also are you using a 3rd party editing card?

Is your uncompressed source file on the same HD as your output? Disc I/O may be the delay. Choose another disc for output.

You can burn 2 hours to a DVD, but the quality is going to be poor, especially if all you have is Premiere and not Encore (for Dolby audio). You will need to set the video bitrate to 3100 kbps to allow 2 hours of video and PCM audio to fit.
If your content is action packed, your best bet is to use 2 DVDs with a video bitrate of 6000 kbps.
You will chew through about half of your disc space creating temp files in the process.

With each generation of compression, things go down hill. Try flicker removal on the stills in your original project and then if needed export as Microsoft.avi (not Dv) uncompressed.
Why do you need the extra step of exporting as DV.avi?

I am not aware of any codec updates from 7.1 to 7.2. H264 is the biggest update from 6.x to 7.x. This also is available in Premiere 2 when QT 7 is installed, although there are more options in QT Pro than Premiere and many folks prefer QT Pro for H264 encoding.
If your movie is not too long, export from Premiere as Microsoft AVI (not DV), uncompressed.

For remote client review, Clip Notes is the cats meow. It allows for comments at precise frames. Check the Help file if you have not used this.

I and thousands of others have exported elementary streams for use in Encore without issue. I just exported a short .m2v file with Export Audio unchecked, imported it back into Premiere and the properties reveal just a video file at the bitrate selected. Could this be just a Scenarist issue?
