hi. i just put together some stills, put some panning and zomming in-out motion and exported the movie to an avi file (microsoft dv avi). the output looks good but it had some flickers. i imported the avi file in another project but when i exported it to another avi file, the quality of the still pictures was so bad. the lines were jagged and the flickers became worse. please help me. thanks.

With each generation of compression, things go down hill. Try flicker removal on the stills in your original project and then if needed export as Microsoft.avi (not Dv) uncompressed.
Why do you need the extra step of exporting as DV.avi?

hi. thanks. let me try it out. and, the reason for the extra step is that when i do movies, i create each small clip in dv avi format and when im done with all the clips, i put the all together. i thought rendering joined avi files to come up with the finished movie would be a lot faster. thanks again.

Better work flow might be to use a separate sequence for each part, then nest each sequence in a master sequence and then export that. This will save time, disc space and a generational loss.

hi. i did exactly what you suggested and it worked. the exported avi file was great. i also tried exporting it again and i didnt notice any generation loss.\

i will also try nesting the sequences. something new to learn.

    thanks.
