Is that why my PhotoJPEG saved at 95% in AE& MAC look dark when I bring them
back into a windows system? I am trying to get some standard out that involves shooting with HVX200 import P2 into FCP. Bring files into AE7 MAC and render a finished PhotoJPEG file for distribution. The PhotoJPEG files rendered from FCP look correct but I need to use AE to remove 2:3:3:2 pulldown from 1080 24pA files.
I have tried using your cadance detector but I cannot for the life of my get anything out of FCP Cinema Tools that is usable?? -
Thats cool. I have been playing with post processing HVX clips in After Effects 7.
Other 3rd party software could probably help match the HVX to VariCam as well. -
How feasible is it to make a QT movie of your project and take it to an on-line house that has FCP and way to dump to DVCPRO HD and or HDCAM???

Here is a little test I did shot with my HVX for a VariCam production.
They wanted to see the 60fps while destroying a monitor.
I think it will work. We will do some more shutter speed
testing before the big monitor destruction.
Setting were 24pN, 60 fps, Shutter was normal.
Cine-D, Matrix Normal, Detail -1, Coring +3

Yes, that is your option. I do the same thing.
Just watch your aspect ratios.
720p DVCPRO HD is actually 960×720
FCP makes the autoadjustment in the mac to 1280×720 -
That is a tough problem. If you just need a 16×9 show, try this.
Don’t use an HD template. Open AE and use
the NTSC DV or D1 widescreen template, depending
on if your footage is DV (720×480) or (720×486)Use scale and enter 133% that will fill up
the 16×9 format. You can adjust your footage up and down as needed.
Then you can use this rendered file in a DVD project.
Just make sure you set your DVD setttings for 16×9 widescreen.

You would probably need to get the edius software from Canopus.

On my PB it is faster to import directly from P2 into FCP.
I did a test and copied the P2 files to the HD and that seemed to
take 2 -3 times as long. And then you would have to import them
into FCP anyway. I back-up the QT files. -
Battery, charger, Component cable to hook the camera up to a monitor, carrying strap, shotgun mic holder, ac adaptor, and wireless remote.
