Maybe try downloading the .dmg from Adobe Labs again. Possibly something got corrupted in the download? I installed it on my Mac Pro with no problems.

Scan or take a digital pic of some crinkly paper. Bring it into AE. Darken it so that the midtones are about 50% gray. then use overlay mode on it over top of the layer you want to affect.

I’m thing about switching from Decklink to Kona LHe as well. Any weird issues to report using it on a Mac Pro. How much RAM do you have on your system?

  • Maybe try a different font. And bring the tracking down some. Too much space between the letters looks artificial. some texture or lighting on the background would really help. A little bit off CC Spotlight (in Effects/Perspective) might help in that regard.

AE7 has a Rounded Rectangle mask in the “Shapes” folder in Presets. Apply the mask to your brushed metal layer. In mask settings change it from Add to Subtract. Apply Bevel Alpha effect & Drop Shadow Effect and your done.

Use the CC Sphere effect, then scale the x value down to about 75%.

I believe a dentist has to do it.

  • I work for a small ad agency in Tampa. I’ve turned the other two designers into Cow junkies as well. BTW the latest Cow issue is at the top of the stack in our bathroom as well.
