Yes, I have managed to do that now. The only downside is that it seems to have lost some of the audio track level keypoints. On the scale of great NLE disaster, I can cope with that!

  • Yes – it seems there is also a ‘CDHD.dll’ file which can get left behind and causes havoc when you uninstall.

The RTX card is in the correct slot and I do have the hotfix patch.

The system is based on an Asus P4P800-E motherboard with an Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz processor and 1Gb of Ram. Video card is a Matrox Millenium G550. There is a Matrox RTX100 board installed. I am running Premiere 1.51 with the latest Matrox tools. The mouse is a Logitech, but I had the same problem with a different mouse and driver. There is a PCI firewire 800 card, but again, I had the problem before this was installed. The only software installed is Premiere, Audition, and Encore, WinDVD creator, WinRip, WinDVD 5 and Easy CD creator. I will email you the system file. I have recently installed the excellent Digisuite, but the problem predates this. Many thanks for taking the time to look at this problem.

  • I have also had trouble with uninstalling the Aspect HD software. It seems you must use the Cineform uninstaller, otherwise it leaves rogue files around. Installing Premiere 1.51 upgrade should give you the codecs. If you still have a problem, you could re-install Aspect HD (ignoring the notes about ‘key expired’) then uninstall it again. This time choose the option to ‘keep cineform codecs for compatability’ (or wording to that effect.)

This sounds like a field order problem to me. I had this problem when using ‘make a movie’. HDV is ‘upper first’ and you get very strange jittery motion if the field order gets reversed anywhere.

  • What’s the betting on what v2 will include – full support for HDV? How does that leave Aspect HD?

Are you using the bought version of Aspect HD or just the Premiere v1.51? I think batch capture is only implemented in the full version.
