I have created an HDV project, using Premiere Pro 1.51. As it was large and complex, I created it as 6 sections, each a different project file, and I have now combined these into one large project, using the individual projects as sequences. I did try to highlight and copy the contents of each project and paste them into a new timeline but this failed – presumably the projects are too large for this option?

I am now editing the complete project and find I need to move around sections of the original sequences to re-order the programme slightly. I am finding this pretty cumbersome and can see it is going to get much worse as time goes on as I try to create new overlaps and sound joins. Is there any way of extracting the clips from the sequences and getting them in to one new programme file? The sequences are a maximum of 18 mins long and the whole project is currently around 90 mins.

You should be able to open the original sequences and select everything, then copy it into a new sequence.

Yes, I have managed to do that now. The only downside is that it seems to have lost some of the audio track level keypoints. On the scale of great NLE disaster, I can cope with that!
