All you have to do is drag the header for the audio track and make it larger (taller). If she needs more detail, zoom in on the timeline as much as necessary. HTH.

The lack of a decent titler in Vegas has been a major complaint since version 3 (when video came into the picture).
For whatever reason, Sonic Foundry and now Sony continue to ignore repeated requests for a better one.
For this reason, a lot of users (like you) are using apps such as AE, Photoshop, Bluff Titler and others to do their titles.
Maybe we’ll get our wish in Vegas 7. We can only hope 🙂 -
Yes to both questions. I use RecordNowMax to make DVDs from the folders DVD Architect prepares. And since they’re inDVD format (i.e. VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folders), DVD Shrink will shrink them for you.

Timecode is an effect, not a script, that can be added like any other effect. To do as I suggested, right click the clip while it’s in the media bin, select MediaFX and then Sonic Foundry Timecode.
If you just want it on the timeline, the easiest way is to add it at the Track level (using the TrackFX icon in the track header).Scripts are a very powerful tool though and something I encourage everyone to learn to use.
You’ll need to add a separate Script folder and point Vegas 4 to it.
The way I did was to go to the Calderwood site and download his (zipped) script package (all 98 of them!!) for Vegas 4. Make sure to get the Vegas 4 package as minor changes had to made to the scripts when Sony took over from Sonic Foundry.
Place the zipped folder inside the C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Vegas 4.0 directory. Unzip it and it’ll create a new folder called Scripts.
Run Vegas and go Tools > Scripting > Run Script. Browse to the Scripts folder and select the ones you want to assign.
The beauty of Vegas 5 onwards is that all the scripts in your folder show up when you do this, not just 10. Another reason to upgrade!!
Be advised that any new scripts have slightly different wording (due to Sony’s takeover) and, while you can still use them, you have to make a very minor change to the script. -
And if you’d rather have the original time code visible, apply it to the clips while they’re still in the media pool (before dragging them to the time line). You can leave this effect there while editing (so you can follow the client’s numbers) and then delete it before the final render.

I just tried it and your file looked fine to me.
When I get graphics originally designed for print (especially from Mac people), I prefer working with PSD, PDF or EPS files myself.
Since you have the JPEG though, let’s work with it.
Don’t go using Photoshop to change anything as there’s nothing wrong with the original file other than it’s a JPEG.
When you say “looks horrible on a TV screen”, how are you getting it there? I’m feeding my external monitor (not a TV set) from Vegas through a Canopus ADVC100 with the preview set to Best/Full and it looks fine.
One thing I would do is adjust the image levels for television. The easiest way I’ve found of doing this is to drop the Seconday Color Corrector on the graphic and select the “Computer RGB to Studio RGB” preset. This drops the levels from 0-255 down to 16-235.
