my friend is looking to start using Vegas for audio work. she formerly used Magix audio studio… she tried importing lots of music into Vegas but the graphics for the audio (the peaks/ridges that show on the timeline for audio) are too small for her liking.. She is used to have a normal level song show very detailed ridges and she can edit almost by the peaks only.

Is it possible to amplify (without touching the actual audio levels) the peaks? Would she have to use sound forge instead to achieve this?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

“Is it possible to amplify (without touching the actual audio levels) the peaks?”

All you have to do is drag the header for the audio track and make it larger (taller). If she needs more detail, zoom in on the timeline as much as necessary. HTH.
