I’d do a full computer re-boot just to clear out anything that may be stuck in memory somewhere.

Rob, Vegas gives you the option of a main VST folder and two alternate folders but no way that I’m aware of to ignore specific plugins within a folder.

The easiest solution is to make a new VST folder exclusively for Vegas and only put known working plugins into that folder.

Russ, I looked on the Black Magic site at https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support and found Desktop Video 10.6.2

Is this the codec you’re referring to?
They ask what hardware I’m using but I’m not using any. All I want is the codec but I don’t see a way to get it without telling them what hardware I’m using and what the serial number is. Is there a way around this? If this isn’t the right software, what should I be looking for? Thanks. -
What you want is called nesting.
Start a new project with a new name.
Import each saved veg file and drop it on the timeline.
Be advised that this will result in the creation of two new files with the sfap0 extension (i.e. myproject-1.veg.sfap0 and myproject-2.veg.sfap0).
Depending on the complexity of your project, this may take some time to load.
Once everything is loaded in, save it again.
If you want/need to do any further editing, right click the desired video event and choose Edit in Vegas (myproject-1.veg or myproject-2.veg).
This will open the project in a new instance of Vegas.
Make your desired changes, save the project and exit.
When you go back to your nested project, the changes will already have been made for you. -
Do you have Track Motion applied to this track?
Did you do a Match Output Aspect on the image? -
Kelly, the opacity line can’t be keyframed.
Right click in the track header and go Insert/Remove Envelope – Composite Color. This line can be keyframed.
The Fade to Color option can be keyframed too. -

I’m assuming that you’ve checked your media at the 75-80% mark to make sure nothing is bad.
If it’s ok, try frameserving it from Vegas Handbrake. This method works beautifully and is easy.
Follow all the steps at https://www.vegasvideo.de/vegas-2-handbrake-en and you’ll get your video in 720 or 1080 if you want it. Good luck. -
Vegas guru D. Eric Franks did a pretty good video a number of years ago that is worth watching.
