It appears you are saving as jpeg, so it canto be nay of the issues with the other formats. Try setting your matte to black in the save for web dialog box.
Alsory bitmapping the shape layer prior to making your save for web, does this still happen?

Thanks Gabe for trying to help, but that did not work for me. This is even simpler as there is no transparency mask on this, it is just something changed in Illustrator CS4 that I am still looking for an easier way.
Anyone else using CS4 find a way around the direct select tool not selecting items in masks anymore?? Please don’t tell me I have to turn isolate on, as that slows me down even more on complex jobs.
Illustrator CS4 is really turning out to be a bad upgrade and making everyday editing take so much longer.

Use the first icon in your pathfinder palette (add to shape area). You may want to option click when doing this so that you only have one path as your final result and not a live pathfinder.

Don’t convert the text to outline, and most of our problems should go away.
Running a simplify on your path can also help so you don’t get as many strange distortions.

Try resetting your photoshop prefs, by immediately after booting photoshop hold down (shift option command) then choose yes to reset the prefs.

You got it. Place larger images, so when you trasnform, you are not scaling pixels larger, which would soften/distort your quality.

I assume the filter you are trying to use is filter >> texture >> textrizer.
What you can do is save a grayscale .psd file of your pattern, then apply the texturizer filter, use the flyout menu in textrizer choose load texture and then choose the .psd you saved.

Can you tell me where you found that keyboard shortuct? I have been going to edit >> keyboard customiotion >> panels >> Source and looking there but did not find it. I have Premiere CS3.Oh wait I found it under edit >> keyboard customization >> application >>take audio video.
I set my take video to V, and then I hit the comma to insert. This saves me loads of time. Thanks Alex, your post helped me out. -

So the doucment is black in InDesign but when you make a PDF it turns to another color. This is likely a color management problem.
Try edit >> Color Settings >> settings: emulate Indesign 2 OFF
Then make a new PDF
We may need to look at the color you are using, is ti CMYK? And we may also have to look at what PDF export settings you are using.
