I don’t have CS4 in front of me now, but try this.

Select the type and got to your character palette, and for language change this to no language. Do a spellcheck.

I am quite sure this should work asi t works in CS3. You can then make a character or paragraph style, and assign this to each instance.

When you open a document you should get options:
1) Don’t Fix
2) Fix Links Automatically

Obviously choose don’t fix. If you are not getting these options, reset your Indesign preferences.

Choose Print
Click the 4th item called output
On this screen you will find your line screen for he entire document to be printed.

With a loaded cursor, hold down shift, your cursor icon should change, then click on the text box linked to the master page that you want to flow the text into.

With no documents open double click on your file change that to 20%k, and then change your stroke to .5 k. This will set your default for new docuements. But you want to do this on documents that are already created. For that you need to do 3 things.

1) Create an object style of your 20% gray rectangle
2) Add a shortcut.
(To add a keyboard shortcut, position the insertion point in the Shortcut box, and make sure Num Lock is turned on. Then hold down any combination of Shift, Alt, and Ctrl (Windows) or Shift, Option, and Command (Mac OS), and press a number on the numeric keypad. You cannot use letters or non-keypad numbers for defining style shortcuts.)
3) Create a library a rectangle with that object style applied

Now if you open a document, just drag the item in your library to the page and delete it. this will add that object style to your document. You can then use an assigned shortcut

OMG I found it Shift 2.

Now to find a way to set all my clips to video only.

Is there also possibly a way to when you drop a clip in the timeline to close it in the source. Or is there a key command to close a clip in the source monitor.

Photoshop is a pixel based program. If you want to see sharper edges, incarease the resolution of your file using the image size command. If you have a pasted a vector shape per my recomendation, then you will see sharper edges once you give the file more reolution. Remeber to view your douocment at 100%% so you get an accurate 1 to 1 pixel preview.

Your problem likely is a color management issue.

In illustrator
edit >> color settings >> emulate Illustrator 6 (this really means color managemen

Then try
File >> Document Color Mode >> CMYK

If not color management than a transparency flatter issue.

You can use refine edge as many times as needed. If find the best way to understand refine edge is to forget about exactly what you want to do with the image you have and just open a new square cut image.

Grab the lasso tool and make a rough selection around anythting in the image. Set everything to zero, and then try a radius of atleast 20 pixels with and then move your slider to contract between -50% and -100%. This contracts your selection between 10 and 20 pixels. Say ok.

Click on the refine edge again, and repeat the entire process to prove to yourself that you can further refine the edge.

The rest should be self explanatory and I hope I hit on the nose what you were having difficulty with.

I also wantedto mention, that you can retain vector quality by copying your paths from Illustrator and pasting them into Photoshop and choose the option for a shape layer.
