try checking the frame, maybe you’ve moved it down? or resized it?

Hey Shane.
I’m capturing to an external HD usb2 connected & it is MAC OSX extended. but i am using a firewire800 for a differnt HD & capturing via firewire400.
Didn’t realize all the firewire share the same bus.

when this happend to me i did the following:
click on library; go into preferences; find folder “final cut pro user data” & com.apple.finalcutpro.plist & Delete them. then open FCP. you have to choose all your preferences again & re-render everything but that at least worked for me.

when i do FCP crashes

FCP will not even let me open the files so taht I can re-render them with a filter or anything. Also, there is no option to ‘forget missing files’ i only get ‘The movie file “workspace 2- fin-00000040” cannot be found. without this file, teh movie cannot play properly’ & then cancel & search. if i hit cancel it pops up with another missing file or just crashes.

My project will not let me re-render.
it says “missing render files. cannot play properly” then lets me search for them or ‘continue’ & when i ‘continue’ FCP crashes
