In Wondertouch’s ParticleIllusion you can use an animated alpha matte as an area for particles. I’m sure this could be tweaked to accomplish what you’re after.
I’m thinking a bit of morphing (check on the COW for Chris Zwar’s tutorial on using the Distort-Reshape tool included in AE) and some particles.

Why would you need a plugin?
If you want the camera to pan, keyframe the camera’s rotation.
If you want it to track, keyframe the null’s position.
If you want it to move through objects, keyframe the null and/or camera’s position.If you want it to zoom…keyframe the zoom.
Read the manual. Read the manual. Read the manual.
And use the null trick.
And toy with it.

Try effect-distort-bezier warp.

In your composition create a camera.
Now create a null; make it a 3d layer.
Parent your camera to the null.
Animate a 360 rotation of the null’s y axis.
Dance with joy.This is the best way to work with a camera in AE, you just move the null around and the camera follows it. You can still animate the camera, to make it move in and out, to look away, and to do other things.

The easiest way to do a 360 pan is REEEEALY easy. You’ll love this little tip and want to procreate with me, that’s how cool it is.

Er, yes… you will certainly need to upload it somewhere not on your computer for us to see it.
But until then based on what you said, (that the video appears dull), try using levels or curves to sharpen them up?

Sorry Marc, I didn’t mean to come across as upset or annoyed or anything. I meant more along the lines of what Tony said. If you reply in the same thread that you’re not getting what you want it helps everyone know what’s been tried and what’s not working. It helps us get a clearer idea of what you mean; basically it keeps us from reinventing the wheel.
Like Tony said, perhaps if you posted a still of what you were working on and explained what was in it that you didn’t quite like we might be able to help more.
