November 14, 2005 at 7:20 pmGood question! I am not sure if it is possible to do this one or not. You may have to change the windows color schemes. If someone else knows of another way, I would love to hear it. I know that you can change the colors of the tracks in the timeline but I have never heard of changing the actual timeline color.

November 14, 2005 at 8:04 pmIf you are using AE 6.5 (maybe 6.0, don’t remember), there is a slider in the Preferences > User Interface Colors that will make the UI darker or lighter. It affects the whole application, not just a single window, but it should get you where you want to go.

November 15, 2005 at 2:44 pmI went to preferences and changed colors but it only seems to effect the composition
window-frame.I saw an AE fellow ( who I don’t know) with his windows customized to colors
and it looked great. I even asked him “how do you do that?”he responded “it’s easy in the preferences”
I have not found the right ones,
hoping someone really knows
thanks

November 15, 2005 at 5:37 pmRik- What version of AE are you using? The control to change the UI brightness is only in 6.5.
If you have 6.5, the control is in the User Interface Color preferences. It’s a slider control, labeled “User Interface Brightness”.
