If you’ll notice, the gold in Heaven’s streets is described as being so pure that’s it’s clear. That’s way better than platinum.

Also, Wally, nowhere in the Bible does it say we get wings. We do get new, perfect bodies though. I’m really excited to see all the new colours, and having a good body…

Oh, and Chris; I’m sure God would work something out where your bike would get grip on the gold. He’s kinda cool that way.

As far as the clicks and pops on your audio track go: It’s most likely that you’re using mp3’s for your sound? Am I right? Good.

You need to take your audio into Premeire, then output it as .wav or .aiff, or some other format. AE doesn’t handle mp3’s yet. Version 7? Maybe, we’ll have to wait and see.

Meanwhile make sure you’re using a different audio format in AE and in the render queue when you’re rendering, use the MPEG-2 DVD option if you’re planning to put it on a dvd.

Use a luma key on one copy of your footage to have the person on one layer.

On the duplicate copy (underneath the other one) do some sort of extending blur. You could do radial blur (slow), Shine (faster), Pete Warden’s smear or whatever it’s called (fast), AE’s motion blur, etc.

Then use a fractal noise layer as a track matte. To give your streaks of light a smoky feel.

    That’s just one way.

This can be done very easily with Photoshop. There are loads of ways; layer styles, actions, etc. Check out the Adobe Studio Exchange for marble stuff.

Make your comp into a precomp.
Duplicate it so you have two layers.
Put a jagged mask on one, copy the mask and paste it to the other, but invert it.
Precomp them each seperately so you still have two preccomps in your comp window.
Tear one away using page curl.

    Done.

Where you referring to bullet time, bullet ripples, or falling text?

A quick search including the archives for matrix tutorial gives quite a few results like this one: https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?univpostid=333498&forumid=2&postid=333498&pview=t&archive=T and this one https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?univpostid=538192&forumid=2&postid=538192&pview=t&archive=T for the falling text. Digital Anarchy makes a plugin for it, and ParticleIllusion has a preset for it too.

If you’re looking for the bullet ripples/trails, bullet time, or other threads on matrix text then do that there forum search thingy. It works wonders.

That’s great Mr. Munkittrick! To add to his idea have a fan for some wind and shoot your subject at a slightly higher frame rate than normal. If you have dialogue, have the talent record it then speed it up and play it back, having them lip synch to it; then when you slow it down you’ll have them speaking in time, but everything (hair blowing etc.) moving in slight slow mo.
For the background behind them just animate clouds slowy moving and swirling. Use ParticleIllusion or Particlular for a slight smoky mist like Michael said. (They used ParticleIllusion for the heaven sequence in Constantine.) You could also use a SLIGHT hint of Trapcode’s Shine plug-in (there’s a colour preset called heavenly).

I, personally, don’t think that’s quite what heaven will look like. I mean, the Bible never describes it like that! But that is the generic clich
