Movie/Render Settings
I’m a recent graduate and now working on some freelance video work for a client. I’ve been using After Effects for some time now but have always been confused on what size I should be setting up the video at and what settings to use to export the video. Currently I’m working on a video that is going to be played from a projector, rear-projected on a screen. How should I be setting up my movie, and what render settings should I use when I do the final render? I am going to be placing the video on a DVD for playback. I’m also not sure if I should place the sound directly in After Effects or if I should take it into something like Premiere (know how to use it) or final cut pro (have never used it) to overlay the audio? I’ve got the audio in after effects now for comping purposes, but every time I render a portion of the video out the audio has “clicks and pops” in it. The current settings I’m using for my comps is the NTSC D1, 720 x 486 at 29.97 fps, is that right? I’ve been doing this same video project for a couple years now and it has always worked fine, but I just want to make sure I’m setting it up correctly because my school hardly talked about after effects. Any help understanding these settings would sure be appreciated, or point me in a direction where I can find the information I need. Thanks!
