I had this dilemma a few years ago an here’s what I ended up doing.

We had to do three things to create the environment during production. First, we used a density-based fog machine to create the generic mysticism that it commonplace in films

That’s great Mr. Munkittrick! To add to his idea have a fan for some wind and shoot your subject at a slightly higher frame rate than normal. If you have dialogue, have the talent record it then speed it up and play it back, having them lip synch to it; then when you slow it down you’ll have them speaking in time, but everything (hair blowing etc.) moving in slight slow mo.
For the background behind them just animate clouds slowy moving and swirling. Use ParticleIllusion or Particlular for a slight smoky mist like Michael said. (They used ParticleIllusion for the heaven sequence in Constantine.) You could also use a SLIGHT hint of Trapcode’s Shine plug-in (there’s a colour preset called heavenly).

I, personally, don’t think that’s quite what heaven will look like. I mean, the Bible never describes it like that! But that is the generic clich

[Wally] “I actually want a figure to look like they are in heaven.”

So just get a picture of a giant computer store with video games, cars, and bar-B-Que for the background 🙂

Great Szalam, I think you’re right, heaven, yeah, awesome place.

According to the bible we get perfect bodies.

Considering that the whole spectrum, X-Ray, Gamma- Ray, Color Spectrum, etc… exists and our eyes can only see the color spectrum,

If we get perfect bodies, we will most probably see colors we have never seen before or thought existed!

    AWESOME THOUGHT!

    Thanks,

Yeah, except the streets paved with gold bug me. First of all I prefer platinum – gold’s a little tacky. Second I question the gold exchange rate in Heaven, and most importantly my Bike would get horrible grip 🙁 I’d keep wadding everytime I try to grind a golden railing 🙂
