that modification will void the warrantee by Apple, but I think that company will warranty the entire system if they do the work. Which is okay but it would most likely mean longer turn times if something goes wrong. Just something to think about. -

Don’t know why you don’t just find a fast m2v encoder (one that does CBR). I’m on a mac so I cannot recommend any, but with compressor and using a CBR encoding method I can encode a 60 minute video in about 30 minutes. Author the DVD and burn it to a disc in under 20 minutes. So in less time it would take to record an hour program to a DVD-recorder, I have the finished product.

You buy a PAL DVD player and a PAL TV, they make them that use our AC. If is doesn’t there would be no problem with using a convertor to get the correct voltage.Compressor is not the best Standards convertor, if you just want to do it software without the expense of a hardware convertor (this would be the best) at least get Natress FIlters

Do you care if the NTSC version is played in Paris, if not I would leave them as default. Region codes have nothing to do with PAL/NTSC.
You have to author 2 separate projects, you cannot do mix standards within a title, you cannot import PAL assets into a NTSC project.

In Log and Capture or Log and Transfer, click off the Stereo for the tracks and then each channel comes in as mono and it is panned to the center.

What most people don’t realize is that when you are taking pictures of the moon, fireworks or meteors you are not taking night pictures, you are filming every bright lights. You don’t need fast lenses or high ISO. With a full moon the moon is as bright as a sunny day (anybody still use the sunny 16 rule?)
WIth meteors you don’t want to capture a moment is time, you want the length of time. The reason a slow shutter speed works is because the point of light is moving and not exposing the same place.

Yeap, you have to replicate the disc if you want to use only certain regions. Then you have to format the title as a ddp file and burn that on to DVD-r this is not playable but it is what they would replicate from. (you can also put this folder on a thumb or hard drive)
