iMacs only have one FW channel, daisy chaining drives is not a good idea. I know a bunch of people do it and to a ridiculous level but sooner or later it leads to trouble and your chain is only as fast as the slowest drive on it.
For the backup Time Machine drive I would probably put that on a USB port.

99.9% of the time this is because you are creating an HD DVD disc instead of a standard DVD. HD DVD will only playback on an Intel Mac or a discontinued HD DVD player.

In your sequence setting the compressor should not be ProRes (HQ) unless the footage was captured or transferred as (HQ) waste of space and can cause problems.
What is the footage info?

For the most part yes it is. That is not to say your wrong to post a “still” question, but I think Noah was trying to offer a helpful suggestion and not to tell you “don’t ask that here”. -
For a 10 min movie I would suggest using a CBR encoding method in Compressor at 7Mbps, this is faster and better than any VBR and it will have less playback issue. It is also highly recommended that you encode the audio to ac3 also.

Do you have the ATI with 3 ports? if so the DVI is a dual link and the 30″ goes to that with no adapter needed, then you just need a Mini DP to DVI for the other monitor. All on apple’s site

What are your sequence setting now? Codec? frame rate? Sounds like you are up converting from a SD movie, QT export is not going to do a great job, at best it is so so. And if you are going from interlaced to progressive (720 is always progressive) that is another hit on quality.
I would highly recommend a hardware up convert or at least use Compressor with frame control set to best (be prepared for a long encoding time.) or a plugin like InstantHD.

That camera also shoots 60i and 30p, the above would be wrong for those settings.

Also ppi should always be 72 for video graphics.
You have to take all the guess work of the DVDSP handling of the image.

Command-r renders the timeline, option-r renders the selection. But you also need to check to see what is set to render. Sequence>Render Selection- what is checked and what is the timeline color?
