If you use the Canon E1 plugin for FCP you can select how the audio is and what channels of audio to embed in the new movie file.

For T2i users the plugin has to be modified but it is a super easy modification, I just did it to the new version of the update and works great.

  • Hyperlinking on DVDs is pretty much abandoned, You can put any type of files on a DVD in a DVD-ROM folder and then put a menu page that tells a viewer where to find them and give them instructions if needed.

FIles like a pdf or word doc can of course have hyperlinks in them.

You have to do a center crop of the image, so you are zooming in 133%. There will be a quality hit. For best quality I would do this in Compressor.

    Frames Control: On
    Resize Filter: Best

    Geometry:
Source Inset Crop to: 16×9 1.78:1
    Dimensions: 720×480, NTSC (16:9)

And you will get what you want.

  • You have a couple of bad settings.

Audio needs to be Uncompressed not Mpeg 2 (this is probably why you are having sync issues.

Then if you are in the US and your DVDs are NTSC you need to change your Field Dominance to Lower (not upper).

Also what HD and system are they using. 1080p/30 even as ProRes can have issues if you are using your system drive, a USB drive or a FW400 drive. Since the OP is new, that needs to be asked.

Well you are using a program in a totally different way then its main focus. If you don’t find something useful do you want Apple to take it out? But if you took a little time with the manual you would find the answers to your question.

    1) Right click on the description header, choose what you want to be displayed (in this case KIND) uncheck what you don’t want.

    2) Change the view type to the first button (upper right) List view, no album art.

    3) Unchecking the box and that song will not play if you use iTunes as a player

    4) If you don’t turn it on it is not doing anything.

Also had the AJA drivers cause this issue, went to the NDD version of the drivers and it cleared it up for me.

But I’m not sure the FCP is compatible with “Chore” systems, you may need to swap that our for a 12-core system and retry. Just kidding I’m horrible with spelling and grammar so I like to see others make them also.

And you cannot pull the serial number from something that is already installed. Without the full number that is with the disc there in no way to get access to the serial number.

Zane is correct, you need to buy a new copy, you are at a dead end anyway.

When you are looking at the receiver is the AF signal bouncing all the way to the right? How are you monitoring this.

May want to post this in an audio forum.
