I bought a brand new 12 Chore Mac Pro Tower today, and attempting to install my FCP and I get a message saying ” Alert – Your system needs a video card that is Quartz Extreme Capable” !!! I never had that problem before with my Mac Book Pro nor with another Tower (8 Chore) !!

    Any suggestions?

    Regards,

Try changing the port your computer monitor is connected to. This fixed the issue with FCP 6 systems as I recall.

Also had the AJA drivers cause this issue, went to the NDD version of the drivers and it cleared it up for me.

But I’m not sure the FCP is compatible with “Chore” systems, you may need to swap that our for a 12-core system and retry. Just kidding I’m horrible with spelling and grammar so I like to see others make them also.
