My goal is to get the P2 clips into Compressor to make TC burn Proxy files for the Director to view, I would like to do this without going to FCP first. Can Atomic Fusion help with that? The Director/Producer is unwilling to spend the money on Proxy Mill which is perfect for the job. This is a collaborative effect so I have no desire to spend my own money since this is a project that I might get a paycheck from, at some point in time.

The Serial Number is on the envelop of the first disc, there are two copies of it. They are peal off labels. Without the serial numbers the disc are useless. If you registered the software with Apple you maybe able to get new serial numbers. Keeping up with Serial numbers is more important than the disc themselves. I have a xls file that I have on several HD and iDisc for safe keeping.

I actually won a copy of mxf import at NAB in 09, never registered it until now, so no P2Flow. I will check out Atomic Fusion, just it is either spend money or take a couple extra steps. Thanks for the help.

You can do to a Dual-layer DVD but capacity is a brick wall, no getting around it.
If you are using PCM (uncompressed stereo) and a 5.1 mix that can really eat into your video bitrate. What audio streams are you using? If you are not using PCM audio you should be able to get a good encode even for a DVD-5. (4.6 Mbps for video).

Foolishness abounds!Unfortunately this is a project that we are all working on for a piece of the pie. It is a new direction in my career so I need the Producer credit so all the BS is worth it to me (at least at the start ;-), check back in 6 months.

Good thing is with the T2i you have the 1.6x factor so the 70-200 gives you a 320mm field of view. But I think you really need at least the 2.8 IS which is about $2K, next is going to the f4 IS which is in your price range. When shooting at dawn and dusk you will miss that extra stop of light. Also with the 2.8 later on you can get the 1.4x tele-convertor which will get you a 280mm f4 lens. I’m always thinking long term.

Well it maybe worth it if you are upscaling the movie with high end hardware (Teranex or Kona 3). That way you can use a much higher bitrate for your encode.
But many BluRay players do a great job with the up conversion, especially a PS3.

This is better posted in an audio forum but why not give details. Small children, like 1-2 year olds, 5 years old. Sitting in a chair, running around, outside in a park? How can anyone help without know details.
