Start with the preset in Apple>Format>Quicktime>Uncompressed 10-Bit (or 8-Bit)
Click on Geometry Tab
Source Inset Cropping
Crop to 4:3 1.33:1Dimensions (encoded pixels)
Frame size: 720×480
Default for sizeOutput Image Insert (Padding)
Padding 4×3 1.33:1Click Save As and you should be good to go. Of course it is cropping the right and left of the image.

You could do an intermission 🙂 and change the tape.
the other solution would be to just record every other frame and then play the tape back at half speed to get the 2 hours on the lg tape. Sorry I think it is time to take my meds.

Or just take a hard drive to a place to make a HDCAM layoff.

Other than renting the bigger deck no way to get 2 hours on the smaller tapes. 60 (+) minutes is max on large cassettes in LP mode that the 1400 deck uses.

FW800 can pull a single stream of HD ProRes, multicam is going to be tough, you will be fighting dropped frames a lot. If you use DVCProHD as a codec you maybe able to pull 2 or 3 streams.

I only own one camera but have rented what probably adds up to 12 or so different cameras and they all match up. This is not a normal thing.

I believe it is a know issue that if you drop the camera from a height of 6 feet there maybe problems.

Also everyone should define “not playing”, doesn’t even show up, doesn’t start up, starts up but doen’t play smoothly?

Very few players/TVs in the US will play PAL DVDs, a lot of players/TVs in Europe will play NTSC, so if you have to choose one NTSC is really the only option.
You are correct any DVD can only be NTSC or PAL they cannot be both.

Think this is the wrong forum.
The only consensuses seems to be the recommendation to just create pages that list websites instead of actual links. While DVD@ccess may work on a particular PC it may not on the next. I believe Intellidisc is not being supported anymore but it never worked on Macs. I have talked clients out of using any links for years, I realize this may not be want you want.
