Sorry Tom, I have to disagree, if you send both there is no telling which they will use. I’m not against telling someone to make a PAL but there is more to it then just checking a box and encoding a PAL version. Without the proper setup to proof it you are sending a blind version. Since they list NTSC as an acceptable format, my advise is to keep it simple and just do that.

You can kind of make this work for set top players but it will not work as desired when played on a computer.
Your buttons would have to be “AUTO ACTIVATE” button that actually jump to another menu/video track that plays the sound and then has the button in the selected state to jump to the actual video when pressed. The problems are, this is slow navigation with pausing, if you have background audio on the menu it will stop and restart after the voice over jump occurs. The biggest issue is auto activate does not work on computers so it will just sit there until the user hits enter but it get the the actual video the user has to hit enter twice, first jumps to the VO menu and then the 2nd to the video, can be very confusing.
So in the end the idea probably should be abandoned.

The disc is not formatted correctly. DVDs need to be done as a UDF so if you are using the copy feature of Toast it is passing on the problem to the new disc. You may try to see if you can get to the disc’s Video TS on a PC, if you can copy that you should be able to make a correct DVD. Can toast make a img file to your HD?
The strange part is that this disc works on set top players.

if the computers doesn’t recognize the disc how do you open the file in VLC

In the geometry tab change the Frame size drop down menu to Custom 16:9. this will make the conversion to square pixels for you. This should be only done when you are making a movie that will not go back into an editing program.

As for not playing (with DVD software) I would see if there is something strange about the Folder/file layout. Is the Video TS folder on the root level of the disc. Also have you tried to play the Disc with the DVD Player by doing to the Open Video TS folder under file?
Does this disc work in a set top player?

It is the default, but there is no actual Region 0, it is just want you get when all the regions are checked.

As stated above I found a replacement but I was really hopping someone knew of a place that sold BNC version (already made).
