I used Media Manager previously and was unclear on the
settings to select. I ended up having to batch full clips.
    Very time consuming
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

  • Im using a 1.4TB sata raid system from macgurus.com
Im using the Sonnet Tempo-8x external 8 port esata card.
I just finished an 1hr long segment for the Fine Living Network
    and it worked fine.
I also, have a SCSI raid system from rourke data.
I found the SCSI raid to be more responsive. But 3 times the cost.
I had a couple of hiccups out-putting from the
Sata drives. It was droping frames at first. I
    powered down and I out-put 3 43min versions
    at 10 bit no problem.
    Beaware, there’s allways something out-putting.

    Good Luck

I posted another posting under G5 stalling.
I think the area is getting to warm around the G5.
Has this happened to you before?

I usually blow away all the media (digitized tapes)
did you number the tapes, so that you have a reel log?
I back up the FCP Project and any related graphic elements
    and music to DVD.
    Hope this helps

    Jeremy
Thanks for responding. I wanted to know if the sound quality coming from the RCA
is good or if it was noisy or untrue to AES Digital. I will need to go with a DA converter
    from what it sounds like.
I cant get a Flying Cow, they are out of production right now!!
any suggestions to a good low cost source

    Michael
