The converted sequence will be +/- 1 frame at any one point because of the mathematically differences of 24 and 30 during the editing process. This is not a cumulative error – a 10 minute sequence will still be 10 minutes…. +/- 1 frame.

I don’t know of any that can read the source because the current AVX specification does not give access to that information. This is usally done at time of capture but that may not work in all workflows.

Create a 23.976 NTSC project and you a pretty mnuch good to go. Set up deck configuration manually for camera if you are using the camera as a deck.

The folder will be at the root level of the drive called “OMFI MediaFiles”. Look in there.

The latest OSX can mount a NTFS formatted drive.
A PC will need MacDrive or other driver purchased and added to read the Mac drive. -
Check to see if you have an Avid OMFI MediaFile folder on your C drive. In there you will see another folder called “Creating” check in there and delete its contents.

Moving footage from Meridian, Symphony, Adrenaline to Xpress Pro is done all the time. Xpress Pro can play back DV25, 14:1, 28:1 and 35:1. It can capture as DV25 o 28:1.
As far as project types, it is the same as a Film Composer – you would created 24p project and decide whether it is a Method 1 or Method 2. As Mark pointed out, audio will be an issue especially if you want to stay digital which is why I suggested a file based workflow or as Mark suggested dub audio to a DV format.
