I’m trying to create a DVD disc that contains both DVD-video and a Quicktime (DVD-ROM). I am creating my DVD through Avid DVD by Sonic. The DVD-Video portion seems fine. My problem is with the Quicktime. When I try and open it, Quicktime says that it doesn’t have a valid extention and will not play correctly.

    Any info would be great!

For those with the Avid DVD by Sonic Manual – I followed the instructions on page 142 to add the ROM data to the DVD if this makes any difference.

Does the QuickTime movie have a .mov extension?

Are you testing this on the same machine your Avid is installed?

I’m checking the quicktime on another machine. It does have the .mov extention on the end. I might have a clue as to what is happening – I upgraded quicktime when I upgraded the Adrenaline and haven’t on the other computers and I am also making a 720×480 movie which might be causing irregular playback. I’ll do more testing to see if I still get the “wrong extention” error.

    Thanks!
