Avid FilmScribe can export a scan list in the most basic of all text based formats: TAB Delimited file. I ma not familiar with the .kcl file – can you post an example of one or send me one at michael@24p.com?
You can also check with the Bones manufacturer to import a TAB file as that is very straightforward to do.

When you got to capture and you select a resolution, select 1:1 10b for SD 10 bit or DNxHD 220x for HD.

You need to make sure you transcode picture and sound – try again and let us know.

You have the live component and SDI outputs for output in real time from the HD to SD. FireWire needs to be transcoded as you mentioned. There is no reason why the SD transcoded sequence cannot be digital cut. I would start there in the troubleshooting.

You don’t mention frame rate, etc. CMX3600 EDL will be your best bet. Have you tried the online help for EDL Manager? It is pretty straightforward to make an EDL.

1. You need to select the original master clips
Unlink them via the Control-Shift-(relink) relink becomes unlink with the modifier keys.
2. Once unlinked, keep master clips selected and go to Clip-Modify Pulldown Phase.
3. Select “A” frame from menu and OK. This will do all your Pullin modifications automatically based on timecode relationship of “A” = :x0 and :x5.
4. Make sure your Film/24p settings are correct for NORNAL or ADVANCED pulldown.

In which direction is the shift occuring? In the encoder, it is assuming 16-236 RGB range or 0-255?
