  • Interlaced lines in all Avid export files

Posted by Eric Rottenberg on January 18, 2007 at 6:30 pm

Regardless of the codec used (H.264, None, Animation, etc.) of self-contained QuickTime exported out of Avid Adrenaline 2.6.3 (Mac), the files are plauged with interlaced line issues – meaning, it’s very noticable.

Any thoughts on how to remedy this and get clean exported QuickTime files out of Avid?

    Thanks,

    Eric

One solution is to create a video mixdown of the entire sequence, load it into the source monitor and apply a motion effect at 100% (no change in speed) to the mixdown. When applying the motion effect, choose the ‘Render Motion Effect with Duplicated Fields’ option.

Or you can use the interlace tro peogressive render in FluidMotion.
