I’ve never owned 3D Studio Max, but I can redily open projects and output them as 3ds files and thereby import them into C4D. Maybe it’s a fluke, but I have had to convert numerous Max files that are sent in to our studio from other studios. Maybe the Max-to-3ds transform is the link?

Yeah, those are the general techniques we’re using, but we’ve yet to get something worthy of a finished product. I believe that we’re going to have to go full 3D for the titles as this keeps getting more and more complex.

Thanks for you time and help.

Certainly not just a singular arm, but one per character and only one at a time for legibility sake. We’ve decided to increase the difficulty 20 fold by adding a side-view of the arm as it strikes a fresh piece of linen paper, and in slo motion no less, so I might have to just go full blown 3D with this thing. I’ll let you know if we find a solution.

    Thank you for your time.

I tried that first, but the control was lost. I am trying to remap the frames to show the impact of the arm and the text die as it impresses the paper from the side and then show it as it lifts and the next begins to strike from the individual’s point of view. I am afraid that 3D is going to end up being my only option…but I don’t have the licks yets to get that right without my head exploding.

I do appreciate the help and thatks for the time.

I might have missed that point, but what I was specifically referring too was the burocracy that slows the entire system down as compared to situations outside of the military. I certainly meant no disrepect to our military nor you.

The virus is being traced by McAfee as I type this. It is apparently a piece of software that deletes random registry nodes, but since I use AE so often, that’s where I focused my attention. After I made the post above, I realized that nearly all of my registry was corrupt and not just those products that I was immediately aware of.

No harm done. I too have been hasty in castrating people when they ask subjects that are atypical to the norm. I assure you that all of my software is not only paid for, but most are registered and verified. I am often a frank and outspoken opponent when it comes to the packages that I use to make money with, sometimes to my own detriment as my words occasionally get away from me as well.

PolyTrans can change it, but the Max file textures do not translate very well and often get either realigned or omitted completely.
