How many monitors do you have and how are they set up? I had the same issue – this is how I solved it.
If you have two monitors and monitor 1 is on the right, go to your System Preferences –>Displays–>Arrangement and make sure the menu bar (or whatever it’s called) is on the left monitor. Mine was on the right. When I swapped my monitors so it was on the left my Color Correction workspace showed up. See pic below:

Go to the fast menu in the bottom left of your bin and select Choose Columns.
Activate “Colors”.
Save your bin layout and you won’t have to remap it every time.

You can add comments to the clip markers when the clips are in the sequence in CS6, or 5.5, or both?
I can’t add any comments to the clip markers in my sequence in 5.5. I can to sequence markers – like FCP, you add a marker then hit the add marker shortcut agani and dialogue box pops up. When I add a clip marker I can’t get a dialogue box to pop up. It just sits on the clip and is pretty useless. This would be great if it’s fixed in CS6. Even better if I’m just holding it wrong in 5.5!

Are the markers applied to the clips in the sequence, or the sequence itself (across the top, ala CS5.5). If you apply a clip marker can you add notes to it (I can’t add notes to clip markers in 5.5 unless I’m just doing it wrong). If it’s just sequence markers, do they ripple with the timeline?
Premiere markers have a long way to go from 5.5. I’m hoping CS6 has addressed some of these issues.

Do you have a Kona or Blackmagic card installed on your system? Matrox? Avid breakout box? It might be pumping audio out of them, and if they aren’t hooked up to speakers you won’t hear anything.

Yep. Mono only on mono tracks, stereo only on stereo.
Also, you should work on using the keyboard and source/record patch panels more. Editing with the mouse (that is, dragging from the source monitor to timeline) is a terribly inefficient way to edit in Avid and will give you a nasty case of carpal tunnel syndrome. You don’t want that.

Yes, you still get all the third party softwaare. Starting with MC6 the third party software is part of the download. Prior to 6 you only got the 3rd party stuff when you bought the box.
Note that Boris no longer comes with Media Composer, download or box. It’s a separate purchase unless ypu upgrade/crossgrade to Symphony. It comes with Symphony (download or box).

Remap it to Fast Forward and Rewind. Then it will go to the next edit without activating trim.
