For me, definately the added Real-time!

I don’t like to guess how my effects are going to look – and I don’t like to wait to render.

    Things are looking up.

If, by any chance you’re running anti-virus software, it could interfere with FCP – so disable it before you render.

I believe you can also use HDVxDV.com to bring your footage into FCP.

At what stage will FCP be able to use more than 4GB of RAM with Tiger?
    Only after FCP5, or before?

And at what stage will we be able to harness the rendering & processing power of ‘Core’ technology in FCP?

I guess what I’m really asking, from an FCP perspective – are there practical benefits to upgrading to Tiger before FCP5?

    Thanks,

Although I’ve personally never tried it, I believe SoundSoap is a very good audio ‘cleaning’ product.

    Good luck.

Another cool “file-sending” resource I stumbled upon:

    http://www.dropload.com

You can upload a file up to 100MB. It will then send an email to ONE person inviting them to dowload the file.

It stays online for one week only – and is FREE!

    Check it out.

The OMF workflow described above works VERY well – done it hundreds of time.

If you bring AIFFs back into FCP , make sure it at 48K – (most audio guys mix at 44.1K so it’s worth just reminding them).
