yeah, I figured that’s what I’m going to have to do.

Or… get the entire team to upgrade! [Which is probably
    more likely].

    Thanks,

I didn’t want to upgrade yet, because the rest of my team haven’t
yet upgraded, and now we can’t share files.

    Also, FCP 6 won’t open a large [257MB] project (that FCP 5.1.2
    opened easily)

    !!!

I didn’t clone my hard-drive and do a clean install of the OS, etc
[as is recommended] because all I wanted was Motion 3, and not the
    whole package.

    Now what should I do??

    Any advice from the sages?

    BazinoZ,

Thanks for the reply – can you weigh in with what was mentioned
above:”… the faders aren’t touch sensitive, so you can’t
    overwrite parts of a mix”.

Are you having the same experience/problem?

    Thanks,

    Dear Chris, Brian and Bob,

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

I’m starting to get the picture that maybe it’s not such a great
    piece of gear.

Bob, can you (or anyone else) please clarify what you meant that
the faders are not ‘touch sensitive’. If you’re saying that you
can’t go back to an edit and ‘finesse’ the mix by raising or lowering
the levels/keyframes then what point are the automated faders?
