I tried reinstalling the OS and M100. I ran a test on the board (P6000 / DV600) and everything is OK. Anyone have any ideas? I’m finishing up a long project and really need to redig. My other M100 is version 7.5 so I would have to use EDLs to finish on that one. Those Decklink cards and FCP are looking better everyday!

  • Also, I went from OS9 to Tiger. All my projects worked fine. I’ve even opened projects created in version 6 of M100 and everything worked smoothly.

  • That would be copying your entire system drive to another drive so you could always reboot in the configuration you are currently using by selecting it as your start up disc. This was suggested to me by Floh when I made the upgrade. I have 2 systems so, I just backed up all my files onto the other system and installed the upgrade. I haven’t had any problems but, its nice to have the back up just in case.

  • To quote Floh…
‘If you have a running system, do yourself a favor and get a cheap internal or FireWire drive and clone your system drive to that before installing the Update. Then you can get back to a working system if there is a problem with OSX 10.4.’
I personally have had no problems with Tiger. I have two systems so I had a backup of all my projects if there was a problem.

You need a serial number for Media100 to work. The boards only work with Media100 and only with the same serial number as the software. If you buy a board without software and a serial number, you’ve thrown your money away. Call the sales dept. at Media100 and see if you can work something out. 800-922-3220.

Everything works except for the Media 100 when the Sonnet is installed. I talked to Sonnet and M100 and apparently there are some issues with compatability.

Everything is set up properly. I tried even switching the frequency and it corrected itself. No yellow boxes. I’ve got the audio connected via analog now and its working fine. By the way Floh, you were right (no big surprise) about my Sonnet CPU upgrade being my problem for not being able to launch M100. I put in the old CPU and everything works great.

If you haven’t already bought 10.4 and want to get 10.3, CDW has it in stock.
