CPU upgrade compatability?
I’m currently using Media100. I’ll be switching to FCP as soon as I finish the current project I’m working on. I just upgraded my G4 450 with a Sonnet 1.7ghz CPU. Turns out, M100 won’t launch with this upgrade. I pulled the CPU and re-installed the old one to get it to run. My question is, has anyone had any compatability issues with using a Sonnet CPU upgrade with the DecklinkSP card and FCP?

did you check to see if the g4 can “see” the new proccessor? go to the system profiler and check. There is a download from sonnet that has to be installed for the mac to see it. also if you installed a new system, you have to reinstall the download. hope that does it.

Everything works except for the Media 100 when the Sonnet is installed. I talked to Sonnet and M100 and apparently there are some issues with compatability.
