I tried this but have two issues:
1. When I click the alembic objects to bake them, the bake option isn’t available, and I’m not sure what exactly I have to do to make it appear.
2. When the <u style=”font-weight: bold;”>bake objects option does appear, when I click it, it doesn’t do anything.
I have the current version of C4D installed. Any idea why this could be happening?

This is great, thanks! Although, it doesn’t seem to apply to exporting PSR data within a cloner. I tried to work around this by baking the cloner. At this point, I can see that each object within the cloner has its own PSR data, which changes as I scrub through the animation. When I try to click these all, then go into the dope sheet -> Functions -> Bake Objects, then hit “OK”, nothing happens.

Ah nice. Do you know if there’s a way for me to still smooth the timing of the animation without breaking it with the time keyframes?

This is pure genius. I’m assuming you can make a texture based on this fracture, where the lines have a stroke color and the pieces have a fill color?

This worked! The only issue is that the rotation in the viewport doesn’t match the rotation in RS Render View. I have the material projection set to “cubic”.

I also misspoke: it’s totally possible to use a switch group with a cloner. The solution is in this video at 15 min: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkXzzt1Iti8.
It’s surprisingly hard to find the official documentation for such a seemingly important concept! I’ll let you know if this works within the context of my specific goal.

Hey! Thanks.
The issue is that I can’t use a cloner because the cloner doesn’t allow me to use a switch group, which is how I’m trying to start turning the particles from blue to red as they increase in height/vibration.
Do you know if there’s a way to make the particles rigid bodies with each other without using a cloner?
Happy to share the project file if it would still be helpful.
