Yes.
Just make sure that the reflection map has at least one slightly transparent pixel.
This is not an ideal solution, of course, but it’s a workaround until
we can fix it.This problem only affects the Invig software renderer, as you’ve noticed.
Thanks.

Hello Ms. Boop2.
(Hi Jay).ProAnimator 4 has all of the features of the Invigorator 4, including texturing, primitives, text, absolute color, etc.
It also includes all of the superb animation features found in ProAnimator 3, along with several additional animation controls.
I’ve been using it quite a bit recently and it integrates into After Effects really well, even though it
has its own UI. You can create great looking animations and camera moves very quickly.Hang in there. It’s worth the wait.

Hi Danny.
We recently put in an optimization that causes this artifact/bug.
The inside of spheres no longer get rendered unless the texture on the sphere
has some transparency to it.To get around this problem for now, I’d suggest you make a copy of your texture,
make sure it has an alpha channel, and then make one of the pixels slightly
transparent (alpha value of 254 instead of 255).If this doesn’t make sense, email me offline at: matt@zaxwerks.com
And I’ll step you through it in more detail. When we were optimizing the rendering, we forgot to consider the
camera being inside of a primitive. Thanks for pointing this out.Matt Rhodes

Hi Scott.
Try the following:
– Find the folder called “Zaxwerks Swatches”
– Rename the folder to “Previous Swatches”
– Try your scenes again. Note that you won’t see any swatches in the Swatch bins.If this works for you, please compress your “Previous Swatches” folder and email
it to me: matt@zaxwerks.comIf this doesn’t help the situation, delete the “Zaxwerks Swatches” folder
that may have been created when you tried again — and then rename
“Previous Swatches” to “Zaxwerks Swatches.”Let me know how things go.

Hi Scott.
Would you mind sending me your troublesome .aep file?
I’d like to see if the problem occurs on this end. Please zip the file and email it to: matt@zaxwerks.com
I only need the .aep file — no media files.Thanks.

Hi Brandon.
Invisible objects do take up RAM, but they are ignored during rendering.
Therefore, unless you have so many objects in memory that you use up
all of your RAM, you shouldn’t see a slowdown during rendering.Let us know if you have any more questions.

November 23, 2005 at 6:09 am in reply to: 3D Invigorator with Boris Effects Alpha ChannelsMight I suggest you consider The Werks, Vol. 1 from Zaxwerks?
There are three plug-ins in the suite, but the one that may prove very
useful to you is Glintwerks. It’s built to generate a variety of glints
that can be applied to your layers. You can apply them to 2D images
or the results of 3D renders (like Invigorator). You can animate them in
a variety of ways.Take a look at https://www.zaxwerks.com/2004/thewerks.html for
more information. Download a demo and see if it will work for you.Alpha channels included for free. 🙂
Good luck.

Hi Bob.
Could you tell me:
– Are you running Windows or OS X?
– Which version of Invigorator are you using?
– Are you using Invigorator Classic or Invigorator Pro?
– Are you doing anything once inside the Set-Up window? If you’re getting repeatable crashes on a particular scene, would you
mind sending it to me: matt@zaxwerks.comYou can just send me the .aep file — no media files necessary.
Let’s start with that.
Thanks.

Hello EBarfield.
Once you open the Set-Up window, open the Camera tab below the 3D Preview window.
Find the Views menu and select “Front.”Doing this should put the camera right in front of all of your objects.
If this still doesn’t work for you, feel free to send me one of your .aep files (no media files
necessary). I’d be happy to take a look at your scene.Thanks.
