Hi Bill.
Would you be able to send me your .aep file (no media files necessary)? I’d be happy to take a look.
We just fixed an obscure bug relating to certain scenes. I’d like to see if your scene falls into this category, or if there’s another problem.Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com
Thanks.

Hi Mike.
You may be finding that After Effects is showing the jaggies, but it’s really just field separation and may look fine in your final output.
Would you be able to send me your PA project? And possibly your AE project?
I’d be happy to take a look. Also, what’s the final destination for these movies? DVD?

Hi John.
Serpentine layers exist as 2D layers. We simulate the 3D look by taking in AE’s camera, lights, and paths to render a 3D image.
You’re correct in that you cannot have a serpent fly around a regular 3D AE layer without some visual tricks. They don’t really exist in the same 3D space, although many artists have been able to make it look like they’re in the same space.

Hi John.
The problem occurs with ProAnimator because we have two windows we’re controlling.
One is the main UI and the other is the Animation UI. There are some messaging
conflicts between our windows and AE’s panels.
Invigorator only has one window. This problem will be resolved in the next big version of ProAnimator (we’re working on it).
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi Blahtor.
You may need to select the “Use Comp Camera” checkbox in the Invigorator’s parameter list.
To do this:
1. Open your project and select the layer with the Invigorator applied.
2. Open the Effect Controls Window (ECW) and look for the checkbox under the preview window labeled “Use Comp Camera.” Make sure it’s checked. If this still doesn’t help, feel free to send me your project. I’d be happy to take a look.
