Hi Michael.
Are you using your layer map as a reflection map?
If so, it should respond like one.If you assign it as a color map, it will stick to the object as it rotates.
Feel free to send me your project file. I’d be happy to take a look.
Thanks.

Hi Joe.
We’ve been testing with AE CS4 for quite some time now. All Zaxwerks products (that were compatible with CS3) are compatible with CS4.
Let us know if you have questions.

Hi Burt.
Your original ProAnimator can be found by right-clicking on the shortcut and getting the Properties of the file. The full path should be shown. We don’t currently install the app in a particular place — that is determined by the person installing the app (you?).
In terms of swatches and materials, locate your user folder on the hard drive. In the “Documents” folder, you’ll find a “Zaxwerks” folder. Inside that is a “ProAnimator” folder. Delete this folder (or move it to a safe place if you need any of the swatches in there). When ProAnimator is restarted, the folder will be recreated with the master swatches and materials.
As for the Targas that aren’t showing up properly, could you send me a few and tell me how they don’t work? Send files to: matt@zaxwerks.com

Hi Curtis.
You’ll have to create an image of a gradient (say, in Photoshop) and then apply that image as a Color Map in ProAnimator.
Note that the full image is mapped to the bounds of the 3D object, so draw a rectangle that looks like a bounding box around the sun arc and then make a texture that is the same aspect ratio of the rectangle.
Let us know if you have more questions.

Hi Peter.
We’ve seen subpixel artifacts when an object or when the camera is moving very slowly.
There isn’t much of a solution at this point.A few non-ideal things to try:
– If you don’t need or can’t see the sides/back faces of your objects, turn them off – this may alleviate some of the problem.
– Render much larger than necessary and then scale down the final movie in an editor.
– Make the movements more dramatic to lessen the visual artifactLet us know if you still have questions.

Hi Rick.
Unfortunately, ProAnimator can’t yet use Motion’s lights – and ProAnimator doesn’t yet support animated lights.
You may have to use some form of animated texture map to simulate dim lighting.
Let us know if you still have questions.

January 15, 2009 at 1:19 am in reply to: ZAXinvig – no preview in the scene preview in the set-up window?Hi Nathan.
I see you’re using Invig v4.0.6. The software is currently at v4.5.1 (Pro) and v4.5.0 (Classic).
My first suggestion is to download the latest version at: https://zaxwerks.com/download
Try the new version and then let us know if you’re still experiencing problems.
Thanks.
