Thanks Kalle. I’m a pretty light Illustrator user, but I’m kicking myself in the pants for not checking to see if I could do it there. Good call.

    Hey Christian,

I’m wondering the same thing. Can you export a PSD with editable text from After Effects. Seems you’ve had a few years to figure this out since this post. Any luck? 😉

    Thanks

Thanks for your suggestions, Bartek. Adjusting the handles to improve the curve isn’t doing much for me. I think you must have Particular 2. My install of the original Particular doesn’t have the Positive Subframe attribute. I’m going to shoot for option 3 and try rendering 60 FPS to see if that gives AE enough data to create smoother motion.

    Thanks again!

If someone has a good solution for this, I would also love to hear it. I need the same effect. Lots of camera flashes over black off to the sides of a red carpet setup.

I also wanted to explore other ways of doing this than just with lens flares.

    Thanks!

graymachine: Yeah, that’s pretty much what I need to do.

moldyboot: I do use adjustment layers for that purpose. So nice to have them. I had myself in a situation where I had about 40 layers (not 10, that was just for the example) and there was the same levels effect applied to many of them (not all of them) and there were also other effects in the mix; so the Remove All command wouldn’t work for me either.

    Thanks for your responses!
