Is there a way to keep the text layers editable upon exporting a PSD to photoshop? AE seems to flatten them then they open as raster layers.

If you import your PSD as a composition you can select the layer and go to Layer > Convert to Editable Text. The appearance may change very slightly, but you’ll be able to edit the text. If it had layer styles applied you can also convert those.

I want to go the other way around – from AE to Photoshop.

    Hey Christian,

I’m wondering the same thing. Can you export a PSD with editable text from After Effects. Seems you’ve had a few years to figure this out since this post. Any luck? 😉

    Thanks
