Hi, i would like to know if there is a plug-in or a technique in after effects to create a camera flash effect using after effects. Something like light spams.
I have tried using the lens flare but its not exactly what im looking for.
    any ideas?
    thanks

Hi there, I need a little more description from you, do you want the effect across the whole screen as if the camera flash is from the camera’s point of view, or are we talking about someone facing a bunch of papparazzi with a hundred flashes going off from multiple directions? A simple technique I’ve used before is a solid white layer that is up for one frame with a 5 frame dissolve, add a sound effect to sell the illusion. Goodluck!

Hi, its more about a bunch of paprazzis shooting pictures around a model with a black background.
There would be flashes coming in from the right and from the left of the screen directed towards the center, where she’s standing.

    Thanks form spain!

If someone has a good solution for this, I would also love to hear it. I need the same effect. Lots of camera flashes over black off to the sides of a red carpet setup.

I also wanted to explore other ways of doing this than just with lens flares.

    Thanks!
