Yeah John that is a good call I recommend their Post Haste software all the time. They have some other clever tools as well! Any CatDV users out their should take a look as these folks!

On the server control panel (be sure you are running the latest version) try to perform housekeeping from the tools menu. If the problem persists send those same screen shots along with the server log (also accessible from the control panel) to support@squarebox.com for help. -
“long Summer afternoon… ” That almost made me spit out my drink Bryson hahaha so true the CatDV beta’s do go on for a bit but for good reason as you point out!
Fundamentally you are right though these should not be feared and are pretty well baked as these betas get kicked around as alphas for quite awhile before they hit the public.

I think it is fairly straight forward but if you are not confident then I suggest you have an experienced integrator do the install and upgrade.

Yes but your milage will vary as this has obviously not been throughly tested. I suggest you should upgrade to 9 now and get 10 for free it’s a great deal. If you wait you have to buy two upgrades and 10 is quite a bit more evolved than 8.1 or even 9 for that matter.

Yes the rumor is true I have yet to play with this though and keep in mind this needs a CatDV server but don’t worry we will be offering a 1 user server for the Lone Rangers out there!
