In the server tab of the tree you are simply browsing the catalogs. To open a catalog for editing simply double click on the catalog you want to edit and it will open up in the catalog tab of the Tree!

  • Click on customize in the Previews and Thumbnails preferences then click on size in the quicktime settings window!

Bryson brings up a good case for the Worker Node and it really is the key to automating and streamlining CatDV enterprise server based workflows. Another manual way to do this is to use the bulk edit option under the tools menu as this can be a powerful tool for renaming most any field.

Hey Craig CatDV does offer the Desktop Professional with MXF and/or a Cache-A plugin as well but as I understand there is not an upgrade path just yet.

P2 falls under the MXF option for CatDV. In order to verify that this feature is enabled go to preferences and registration and in the box license type it will say with MXF.

Hey this is Matt with the US distributor thought I would chime in here and give you some details.

There are a number of differences between Work Group and Enterprise and ultimately it comes down to work flow!

Here is a link to a product matrix that will breakdown the differences in more detail. https://www.squarebox.co.uk/matrix.html

Both Server products offer the ease and power of CatDV core features found here https://www.squarebox.co.uk/features.html
