In the thumbnail movie or even proxy tab click on the icon of a camera to set the poster frame or you can hit the p key!

There are many workflows for working with CatDV when not connected to a server. The purpose of catalog files(.cdv) is to create catalogs when not connected or take catalogs off the server and work disconnected. I suggest exploring local catalog files and get friendly with the media search paths and try out a few scenarios!

At the top of the web client click on the pencil icon to enable editing of the metadata!
Once enable hit the check to save changes or the X to discard.

Look under the tools menu and use search and replace tool or the even the bulk edit tool to do this in larger chunks. The Worker Node could also do this with a server query.

Getting the catalogs generated in a timely manner is the key in my view, even into a generic ingest catalogs for example. Worker 5 can run multiple processes and this would likely help speed this up with the volume you are talking about. Once in CatDV in those ingest catalogs using the Worker and server queries you could organize the clips into catalogs automatically. Sometimes breaking these processes up into steps can make it easier to manage and spread the workload. Your integrator should be able to get you eval keys to test this in your real world environment of not let us know. Are you shooting in time of day TC?

It would be a nice feature request though as I use the two finger gesture all the time to scrub video and would like to hear the audio scrub accordingly!

(Tip) if you add a star * symbol in front the the text in the NUM area it will insert a marker and add the text at the same time!

If you tap the “L” key it will go faster there is three speeds, realtime (not sure of the other rates) but fast and faster!

You can export thumbnails separately in nearly any size with the export stills command then select the size and still type.
