cat DV Verbatim Logger
Totally a newbie to this, so i apologize for any non-jargon language I use to describe anything…
I am working with the verbatim logger in catDV, and it’s great. But…for some reason, I cannot get the auto type to…well..type when I click 0 or 1.
(0 and 1 are filled in with text, like a name of a character).
is it a keyboard setting? is it a verbatim logger setting?
Machine: MacBook Air (oh yes)

Hi, I’m fairly new to CatDV too, but maybe this will help… I found that I have to use the numberic keypad on my keyboard (not the numbers above the letters) for it to work. Also, on a PC keyboard, the Num Lock button must be ON. For what it’s worth.

I will give that a shot, but I think you are on the right track here!

(Tip) if you add a star * symbol in front the the text in the NUM area it will insert a marker and add the text at the same time!

You can configue the shortcut macro keys if you press the verbatim logger settings button. There are two options. You can use an arbitrary prefix key followed by a digit 0 to 9 (two character sequence) or a single key shortcut, in which case you tell it the first key and it uses subequent ones from that. For example, if you told it to use F1 then you’d have shortcuts on F1 to F10. By default the first key is NUMPAD0 but you can change this to plain 0 if you want.
