You might be able to use the CC Burn Film effect to accomplish a similar look as the transition in the example you posted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h1Zq7RIO_w

I agree with Andy that a matte involving a circular wipe and an evolving noise texture would probably get you even closer, but CC Burn Film is in that wheelhouse and is probably easier.

Yep, that’s what I’m sticking with; thanks. I’m not sure why the other option even exists. I guess you can use it, but with more limited options, I’m not sure why.

I like “The Salt Lick.” Simple, a little catchy—I imagine a bunch of cows gathering around to partake, plus, it can get a little salty in here. But, like your “Herd Around the Industry,” it only has the bovine pun and fails “mean something to Google, and to anyone else who hasn’t been here before.” Ah well, fun to think about in these surreal times.

I don’t know of any native way, but I’ve installed Icaros and it seems to work fine (allows Windows Explorer to show thumbnails for MOV files, including those with ProRes within):

Wait, I feel like I’m missing something. I can still do “render in to out” just fine (this is in Premiere 14.0 on a PC). This was a 4K clip (marked as yellow); I marked an in and out in the sequence, went to Sequence->Render In to Out and it did exactly as expected (it didn’t just play back—the render progress bar came up while it did its thing). Resulting section of the sequence is now marked with green.
