i use shake and/or after effects. i’m quite used to the post-production side of things (5 years+) just not using cameras.

apparently dvmattepro would help?!?

would i get a substantially better image to work with if i used something like a canon xl2 over a panasonic nvds8 (cheap consumer dv cam i have kicking around) do the 3ccds and the pseudo-progressive scan really make a difference when it comes to keying?

the problem was that the OUT REF switch on the Digi should have been set to INPUT VIDEO not REF (as it was)

yes i get the same results over and over again. my four Seagate Cheetahs ST373307LC are loaded into a heavy black box kind of thing (very technical description there, ahem) and connected with a dual atto scsi card.

perhaps its because at the moment the drive is as clean as a whistle? or maybe its the latest atto drivers?

regardless i will tread carefully before purchasing anything…..
