Ok – uninstall both BMD and Cineform.
    Restart
    install BMD
    restart

Then try the imports (might be worth trying a new project and new media too)

    Jaromir,

    Try this –

    Remove Cineform via add/remove programs
    Restart the machine

    Then try the imports.

I am not sure if it is still the case but with previous versions of Cineform, no other AVI’s can be loaded other than Cineform AVI clips if Aspect is installed. Basically they take over all 1920 AVI importing.

Hope this helps and let me know what you find.

    Cheers,

    Hi Gene,

I can offer some expreience with the A8N-E as we have one here too. This will not work with MBX. The nVidia chipset used on this board has only 20 lanes in total, so 16 for GFX cards and the other 4 lanes are shared over the rest of the bus. So 16 +4 + 2 (the 2 x1 PCIe slots)it runs out of lanes. Bummer i know as otherwise it is a great board.

I suspect the SLI version – A8N-SLI, uses the same nVidia chipset. The nVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 is the only nVidia chipset i know of (for dual core AMD) that has full bandwidth on all PCIe slots.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,

  • Hi Mike,

Sorry, it does not. The Vegas guys would need to do an update of the app to achieve this. I did ping the Vegas guys today to see if there are plans to do this and if we can help speed that up in any way.

    Cheers,

    Hi Gene,

We are not aware of any PCIe bugs with the MBX. What MOBO are you using? We did see a customer this week with a similar report to yours and it turned out to be a BIOS issue which was solved by loading an older BIOS. FYI it was a Supermicro X6DH8, R1.3c BIOS was the culprit, reverting back solved it.

If not could you give your full system specs to pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com, the support guys will be able to help you out. Also make sure you are plugged into the x4 PCIe slot for your MBX.

    Cheers,

    Regards,
